Privacy Policy
Effective August 6, 2026
Inkstone is built so that your reading stays yours. This page describes what the app and this website handle, and what they do not.
The app
- No account. The app never asks who you are. There is no sign-in, no email, no name.
- Your data stays on your device. Reading progress, saved words, review history, seals, and settings live in a local database on your phone. We cannot see them, and deleting the app deletes them.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives a randomly generated identifier and the purchase receipt. That identifier is not your name, your email, or your Apple ID, and we never learn who you are from it.
- No tracking. The app contains no ads, no third-party analytics, and nothing that follows you across other apps or websites.
- No microphone. The app plays its bundled audio and never records anything.
This website
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you give us and use it only to tell you about Inkstone's launch and releases. We never sell it or share it. Write to us and we will remove it.
- Analytics. The site counts visits and signups with privacy-respecting analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and PostHog). These events are anonymous and carry no advertising identifiers.
Children
Neither the app nor the site knowingly collects personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
